李政道（1926．11．25-），上海人（祖藉苏州）。1943-1944年在浙江大学（贵州永兴）物理学系学习。1945年转学到昆明西南联合大学物理系。1946年经他的老师吴大猷的推荐，得到国家奖学金，进入美国芝加哥大学攻读研究生，在E．Fermi指导下，于1950年获博士学位。旋即在芝加哥Yerkes天文台八个月和在加利福尼亚大学（伯克利分校）物理学系一年，任讲师并从事研究工作。1951-1953年在普林斯顿高等研究院工作。1953年任哥伦比亚大学物理学助理教授、1955年任副教授。1956年任教授。1960-1963年任普林斯顿高等研究院教授兼哥伦比亚大学教授。1963年任哥伦比亚大学物理学讲座教授，1964年任该校Fermi物理讲座教授，1983年为该大学全校讲座教授（UniversityProfesser）。李政道是美国科学院院士，中国科学院外籍院士。他和杨振宁同获1957年诺贝尔物理学奖。是华人首次涉足该奖项。
Li Zhengdao (1926.11.25-), Shanghai people (ancestors by Suzhou). 1943-1944 in Zhejiang University (Guizhou Yongxing) Department of Physics study. In 1945 transferred to the Kunming Department of Physics, Southwest United University. In 1946, recommended by his teacher Wu Dao, received a national scholarship to enter the University of Chicago to study for a graduate student in E. Under the guidance of Fermi, in 1950 received a doctorate. Immediately eight months at Chicago’s Yerkes Observatory and a year as a physics faculty member at the University of California (Berkeley), she worked as a lecturer and did research. 1951-1953 at the Princeton Institute of Higher Education. 1953 Assistant Professor of Physics, Columbia University, 1955, an associate professor. 1956 professor. 1960-1963 professor of Princeton Institute of Higher Education and Columbia University professor. In 1963, he was Professor of Physics at Columbia University, Professor of Physics at Fermi School in 1964 and Professor of UniversityProfesser at the University in 1983. Li Zhengdao is a member of the American Academy of Sciences and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He and Yang Zhenning won the 1957 Nobel Prize in Physics. It is the first time for Chinese to get involved in this award.
