应美国洛杉矶加州大学（University of California at Los Angeles，UCLA）结合医学合作中心（Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine）和东西医学中心（Center for East—West Medicine）主任许家杰博士的邀请，北京大学神经科学研究所韩济生院士于2008年5月12～15日访问UCLA。这也是韩院士继1997年来第2次访问东西医学中心。
