山歌是在田间劳作的人们用来抒发情感时即兴演唱的歌曲。山歌的演唱内容较广泛,一般结构简短,曲调爽朗、情感质朴、情绪高亢、节奏自由。兴国山歌是山歌的一种,其是流行于江西省兴国县及赣、粤、闽、桂等数省的一种客家民歌,2006年经国务院批准列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。兴国山歌具有生动活泼,形式多样,生活气息浓郁等鲜明特点,受到当地人民群众的喜爱,同时也成为当地的一个文化特色,因其历史悠久,又具有重要的功能和意义,所以传承兴国山歌就显得尤为的重要。
