21世纪是高科技知识经济时代,数字图书馆是知识经济的主要基础设施和必要条件,建设中国数宇图书馆工程是科教兴国,发展知识经济的当务之急,也是发展文化产业,建立新的经济增长点的内在需求。本刊在第28期上发表了访文化部原副部长、中国数字图书馆工程筹备领导小组组长徐文伯《尽快建设中国数字图书馆》及《中国数字图书馆工程中的着作权问题》、《数字图书馆》等系列文章,在读者中引起反响。现分三期发表国家图书馆副馆长、中国数字图书馆工程筹备领导小组办公室主任孙承鉴研究员的文章《建设现代化的国家图书馆》,以飨读者。——编者
The 21st century is an era of high-tech knowledge economy. Digital libraries are the major infrastructures and necessary conditions for knowledge-based economy.
