随着教育制度的改革,虽然在整体上教育格局发生了一些变化,然而,在中国应试教育的大前提下,各种考试仍然充斥着学生的学习生涯。就英语这一门学科而言,从初中升学考试到高考,再到大学的四六级等级考试,学生在课堂上学习到的不过是各种应对各类考试的考试技能,学生和老师的目标定位于在考试中取得高分,甚至希望通过一些考试经验获得一定的技巧,通过走捷径的方式获得高分。这样,很容易导致学生忽略语言知识的积累,语言学习的意义局限于应对考试,失去了其沟通交流的功能。主要涉及在学习英语的过程中,英语语言知识的积累与运用的关系,及如何通过多方位学习使学生语言应用能力得到长远及全面的发展。
