In “Norwegian Wood,” Haruki Murakami illustrates his concept of life and death with a transcendental attitude towards life: “Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it.” Under this notion of death (including normal And abnormal death) is not a sad mutation in life, but exists as a natural form of life, and death continues the existence, so death should not cause the tragedy, shock and despair of the living, or even not The living person should be frightened. It is under this attitude that the author describes the death scene of the five characters in the novel and endeavors to bring the reader into a kind of philosophical conception of life and death.
