Describes a new method of preventing the explosion of a container containing a flammable liquid by filling in the free space of the container a small ball made of a porous, water-permeable, thin aluminum foil. Experimental methods have been used to verify the safety of explosions in different fire scenarios and conditions when such pellets are filled in flammable liquids and the results have a wide range of uses in industrial processes
