Small businesses in the United States typically have fewer than 500 employees, and they have a place in the Pentagon’s SBIR as they have advantages in certain high-tech fields. The U.S. Department of Defense recently published a list of multi-million dollar high-tech projects in Phase I of the SBIR, each of which invested approximately $ 100,000, primarily to design and develop new technology projects. Project developers also receive hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars in phase II of SBIR for the continuous development of technology projects and the development of related prototypes
