为南开大学的创立者张伯苓画像,是一件很荣幸的事。“知道有中国的/便知道有南开/这不死吹,也不是真的,天下谁人不知南开有个张校长。”这是68年前老舍、曹禺联袂为张伯苓写的祝寿诗的开头几句话。张伯苓先生是著名爱国教育家,南开教育的奠基人。他用风风雨雨的生命历程,矢志不渝地追求南开以至中国教育事业的更高境界。为中国这样一个文化艺术大师造像,仅用一般的肖像画的手法,达到写实,惟妙惟肖是不够的。如何在仅有的画面中,为观众展示出张伯苓更多的精神内容,体悟出画面以外更多的东西,这才是我想追求的。谈到张伯苓,必然要谈南开,二者是必不可分的,大家都在讲巍巍我南开精神,永远的南开魂。何谓南开精神?张伯苓讲,即“允公允能,日新月异。”他希望后辈无论何时何地,都要“一致为公。”张伯苓既是南开精神的阐述者,也是南开精神的践行者。他自己率先垂
It is an honor to portray the portrait of Zhang Boling, the founder of Nankai University. “This is 68 years ago, Lao She, Cao Yu jointly wrote for Zhang Boling’s birthday poem beginning a few words. How to show the audience more Zhang Boling’s spiritual content in the only pictures, realizing more things beyond the picture, and this is what I want to pursue.
