江西地区下二叠统颇为发育。自从40年代高平、徐克勤(1940)将其划分为栖霞灰岩(即“笔架山灰岩”)、小江边灰岩、茅口灰岩及呜山层等地层单位之后,就已为本区与邻区下二叠统的划分对比奠定了良好的基础,并为后人所沿用。首届全国地层会议在总结《中国的二迭系》(1962)时,将我国南方下二叠统以碳酸盐岩相为主的沉积,统统划分为栖霞组和茅口组。当栖霞组底部有含煤岩系时,则称该煤系为梁山组。会后,此一划分方案即广为应用。原已划分出来的小江边灰岩和五十三梯系(黄汲清等,1948)等不仅随之销声匿迹,而且对其层位应归栖霞组还是属于茅口组的问题,又发生了新的争论(表1)。
Lower Permian in Jiangxi Province is quite developed. Since the 1940s, Gaoping and Xu Keqin (1940) classified them as Qixia Limestone (Beacon Hill Limestone), Xiaojiang Limestone, Maokou Limestone and Wunshan Formation, The division of the Lower Permian with the adjacent area has laid a good foundation for future generations. The First National Stratigraphy Conference summarized the “Permian System of China” (1962) when the sediments of the Lower Permian mainly carbonate rocks in the south of China were all divided into the Qixia Formation and the Maokou Formation. When the bottom of Qixia coal-bearing rock series, then called the coal-based Liangshan Formation. After the meeting, this division scheme is widely used. The small riverside limestone and 53 ladder (Huang Jiqing et al., 1948), which were originally divided, not only disappeared, but also occurred in Qixia Formation or Maokou Formation. New debate (Table 1).
