李仪祉先生,一生奔波于大河上下,长江南北,呕心沥血,艰苦奋斗,对我国近代水利事业作出了巨大贡献。中国高等水利学府的创始人李仪祉毕生致力于教育事业,先后参与创办三秦公学、河海工程专门学校、陕西水利道路工程专门学校(后改为西北大学工科)、陕西水利专修班(后改为西北农学院水利系),担任教授、教务长、校长,兼任陕西省教育厅厅长。他还曾在北京大学、清华大学、同济大学、第四中山大学、交通大学执教。造就了大批科技人才和志士仁人,为我国水利教育事业建立了不朽的功绩。 1903年于右任出任陕南商州中学堂堂长,李仪祉被聘为数学教习,成为他从事教育的发端。1911
Mr. Li Yizhi, who spent his entire life running around the river and north and south of the Yangtze River, made painstaking efforts and made great contributions to China’s modern water conservancy. Li Yi-sheh, founder of China’s Higher Water Conservancy, devoted his life to education. He has been involved in the establishment of the Three Qin Public School, the Hohai Engineering College, the Shaanxi Water Conservancy Road Engineering College (later renamed as Northwest University Engineering), the Shaanxi Water Conservancy Specialized Course Agricultural College of Water Resources), as professors, deans, principals, concurrently Shaanxi Provincial Department of education director. He also taught at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Zhongshan University No.4, and Jiaotong University. Created a large number of scientific and technological talents and people with lofty ideals, for our water conservancy education has established an immortal merit. In 1903, he became the head of Shangzhou Shangzhou middle school in the right, and Li Yizhi was hired as a mathematics teacher and became the starting point of his education. 1911
