The predecessor of the First Orthopaedic Hospital of Chengdu was an orthopaedic clinic founded in 1916 by Mr. Du Ziming, an orthopaedic expert of the nation’s famous Chinese medicine. Since its establishment, the institute has become a large-scale national-owned orthopedics hospital with fixed assets of 40 million yuan and a building area of 8,000 square meters.
