由于我国古代没有棋史专著流传下来,后人对棋史的研究,都是一些既爱好弈棋又同时爱好文史的人们,从一些文、史书籍中零星发现的。在文史典籍中,有关皇帝的生活起居部份的弈棋的记载,从侧面为我们提供了某些新的棋史资料,使我们得以进一步了解现代所通行的中国象棋在其“少年时代”是怎样的形貌。
