这是一封感人至深的信。中国共产党优秀党员、出身于回族的坚定的共产主义者、优秀的民族工作者马寅同志,因病于今年5月27日逝世。马寅同志1919年4月19日出生于上海。早年投奔延安,参加革命。长期从事民族工作。建国后,曾任国家民委委员,文化司副司长、顾问,中国民族博物馆筹备组组长等职。他在民族史、民族理论研究、民族政策宣传、民族问题书刊编辑出版等方面做出了突出贡献。谨登此信表示我们的深切哀悼,弘扬其对党的事业无私奉献的精神。
This is a very touching letter. Outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a hard-core Communists from the Hui ethnic group, outstanding national worker Ma Yin, died of illness on May 27 this year. Ma Yin was born in Shanghai on April 19, 1919. Early defection to Yan’an, to participate in the revolution. Long engaged in ethnic work. After the founding of the People’s Republic, he was a member of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, deputy director of the Department of Culture, consultant and head of the preparatory team for the China National Museum. He made outstanding contributions in the history of nationalities, the study of ethnological theories, the propaganda of ethnic policies and the editing and publication of books on ethnic issues. It is our pleasure to express our deep condolences for this letter and carry forward the spirit of selfless dedication to the cause of the Party.
