In 1789 the British fleet boarded Australia and classified it as its own possession. According to expert advice, the government has sent a large number of prisoners away from home to reclaim the wild virgin land. The private shipowner who delivered the prisoners went to see the government pay for the freight according to the number of people on board. As much as possible on board the ship, the crew downsized through poor nutrition and hygiene conditions. Some shipowners even thrown the prisoners into the sea when they went out to sea. According to historical records, during the first three years, there were 4,082 people transporting 26 prisoners to Australia, killing 498 people.
