1948年5月23日,我从中国医科大学毕业,来到哈尔滨,等待总卫生部分配工作。5月28日这一天,贺诚部长、孙仪之副部长来到我们的住处。这是我第一次见到贺诚同志。他个子不高,穿身褪了色的绿军装,举止文雅但有军人风度,方形脸庞上一双炯炯有神的眼睛,流露出刚毅而和善的表情。他首先对我们毕业表示祝贺,说有这样多的卫生干部,补充到部队去,这是卫生战线上的一件大事。希望我们发扬我军优良传统,成为军队卫生干部遵守制度、遵守纪律的榜样;在工作中要有新的气象,新的思想,新的作风,对伤病员要怀有革命同情心,将技术与革命同情心相结合,他号召大家要很好的研究
On May 23, 1948, I graduated from China Medical University and came to Harbin to wait for the distribution of work from the Ministry of Health. On May 28, Minister He Cheng and Deputy Sun Yizhi came to our residence. This is the first time I met Comrade He Cheng. He was not tall enough, wearing a faded green uniform, gentle manners but military demeanor, a pair of sly eyes on the square face, showing a fortitude and kind expression. He first congratulated us for graduating and said that there are so many health cadres who added to the troops. This is a major event on the health front. We hope that we can carry forward the fine traditions of our military and become an example of the military health cadres’ observance of the system and the observance of discipline; we must have new meteorology, new ideas, new styles of work, and sympathy for the wounded and sick, and sympathize with the technology. Combining with the revolutionary sympathy, he called on everyone to study it well.
