改胚:树胚来源于采挖野生及人工培植两方面。挖掘起来进行裁截,俗称改胚。改胚时必须具备“胸有成树”的艺术想象力,即面对树胚就能想象出该树成型时的意态。这种想象力始终伴随着栽培造型的全过程。树胚是盆景造型的基础,改胚时首先要选定树胚的观赏面,定好观赏面,还要摆正方向(朝向)。选择观赏面应着重审察树胚的头根、主干及妆嫁枝条等几方面。因为头根、主干是树胚的基础,若以人为去改造它就难度很大,有些甚至是不可能改造的。能否定出最佳的观赏面,是树型设计的非常关键的第一步。
