吴泽霖的贵州民族风俗文化考察在其考察著述中占据着特殊位置。他运用西方人类学、民族学的理论方法,结合贵州民族地区的实际情况对贵州民族风俗文化进行了全方位的考察,为我们了解当时西南民族的生活样态提供了全景式的描述与详解,极大地丰富了我国民族学的研究。
Wu Zelin’s Guizhou ethnic customs and culture occupies a special position in his study. He applied the theories and methods of western anthropology and ethnology to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the customs and cultures of Guizhou with the actual conditions in Guizhou’s ethnic areas and provided a panoramic description and explanation for the understanding of the living patterns of the southwestern peoples of that time. Greatly enriched the study of ethnology in our country.
