《书屋》一九九六年第五期刊登了朱正兄致编辑的一封短信,该信是为了纠正他在《书屋》一九九六年第三期所刊《认真不得》一文的一处讹误而写的。信中说:该文释纪昀挽妹联:“衰年鲜兄弟,何堪雷岸更无书”,是纪昀用鲍照《登大雷岸与妹书》一典说其妹的;但舒芜先生致函云:“衰年”云云,似是纪氏以鲍与妹书一典说自己,所以然者,衰年“通常只用于自谓,少用于别人;于别人多用‘暮年’、‘晚年’等等也。”为此,朱正兄待致函编者请予更正,并致歉意。拜读此简,使我受益良多。 其一,舒老从“衰年”一词推断纪氏所言者乃自己,此事看来虽小,但其学养精深,由此可知;舒老于友朋
