In this paper, the effects of critical addition of phosphorus and the final vacuum annealing on the properties of electrical steel were studied. 0.03-0.56% phosphorus was added to the low-alloyed silicon steel (silicon 1.8%). Industrial tests were carried out in a vacuum electric furnace at the Ishiteh metallurgical plant. Specialized experiments have shown that raising the phosphorus content in the steel can significantly increase the grain size. The data obtained demonstrate that increasing phosphorus in the steel reduces the critical deformation and increases the grain size after annealing.
