几年来,我国公路桥梁采用高椿承台理论设计椿基时,多沿用双柱式桥墩标准图的基础型式。基础平面尺寸为长方形,厚度1.5公尺(单层或双层),基础顶面标高控制在最低水位以下0.3公尺,且已习用成规。如400公尺以上的渭、嘉桥和其他各地的大中桥梁,多属这种型式的墩台。这种控制承台顶面在最低水位以下的习用惯例,在经济上和实用上的意义部不大,相反地却有施工困难和浪费金的缺成。兹提出个人看法如下:
