近年来,“生态”这个词充斥着各种报告、宣传和广告,生态住宅、生态食品、生态酒店、生态公园、生态省,生态市,甚至生态村比比皆是。一时间,中国大概成了使用“生态”这个词最频繁的地方。作为一名生态工作者,看到在短短的20年中“生态”从不被了解、不受重视到成为热门话题,自然是喜不自禁。在这个浪潮中,旅游也不例外。很多西部省份纷纷以生态旅游为发展思路,“打造”生态旅游产品的景区也不一而足。199g年国家旅游局和相关政府部门一起率先发起了“生态旅游年”。力度不可谓不足。
