铯—137是一种发射γ光子的放射性核素,在医学上用于肿瘤病人腔内放射治疗。但是这种放射线对健康人却是一种潜在的危险。因此对放射治疗室的房屋结构必须采取有效的、经济合理的防护措施。本文结合工程实例,介绍了对铯—137所产生的γ射线进行防护设计所必须考虑的因素,设计、施工应注意的有关问题和屏蔽材料厚度的计算方法,并且还列出了工程竣工后,在防护屏蔽外侧的γ辐射量率的实测数据,以验证防护设计是否达到了预期的效果。
Cesium-137 is a radionuclide that emits gamma photons and is medically used for endovascular radiotherapy in cancer patients. But this kind of radiation is a potential danger to healthy people. Therefore, the radiotherapy room housing structure must take effective, cost-effective protective measures. Based on the engineering examples, this paper introduces the factors that must be considered in the design of protective design of γ-rays produced by cesium-137, the problems to be paid attention to in the design and construction, and the calculation methods of the thickness of shielding materials.
