河南省农业科学院烟草研究所,始建于1947年,是我国创建最早、河南省目前唯一的省级烟草专业科研机构。前身系国民政府农林部烟产改进处所辖的河南省烟叶改良场。解放后改名为河南省烟叶改良场,几经区划调整,于1979年归属河南省农业科学院。它具有优越的区位优势,雄厚的技术力量和先进的科研条件,尤其是基地开发,在河南省广大烟区享有很高的声誉。烟草所位居中原腹地许昌,东依京深高速公路,西临107国道和京广铁路,南靠311国道,从研究所至郑州国际机场仅有50km的路程,交通十分便利。全所现有专业技术人员27人,具有高级职称的12人,其中,研究员2人,副研究员10人,助理研究员7人,享受政府特殊津贴1人,硕士3人。全所下设育种、栽培、植保、烘烤、农化等5个研究室、3个职能部门和1个开发实体。烟草所作为省级科研单位,其研究方向任务是:根据烟叶生产发展的需要,开展烤烟品种选育、引进、试验推广工作及烤烟优质、丰产栽培、烘烤技术,烟草病虫害预测预报及综合防治、科学施肥技术和优质烟草生理生化等技术研究,并对烟区土壤进行技术监测,有效地开展技术咨询、技术服务、基地开发、技术人才培训、情报资料收集、交流和利用等项工作。烟草所现有固定资产400余万元,其中,科研仪器设备近60万元,拥有气相层析仪、示波极谱仪、光电分光光度计、原子吸收分光光度计、火焰光度计、蛋白质分析仪、电光分析天平、人工气候箱、高速冷冻离心机等精密科研仪器数十台(套)。全所占地面积27.53 hm2,其中,试验用地
