全国重点建设工程—宝山钢铁公司引进焦炉投产急需的成套炉门备件和为北京市煤气化工程配套的大型焦炉成套炉门,在邢台冶金机械轧辊厂相继制造成功。这种焦炉炉门高达六米,一套炉门装置重18吨,由大小二千多个零部件组成。精度要求高,气密性要求严格,制作难度大,在工艺技术和生产安排上都有许多特殊要求,我国尚无制造先例。为确保全国重点建设工程准时开工,冶金工业部决定由我国自制,把这个“硬仗”交给了邢台冶金机械轧辊厂。该厂为支援全国重点工程和首都建设,果断地接受了任务。他们成立了专门班子,并派出工程技术人员到外地考察、学习,经过反复试验研究,克服了重重难关,终于成功地制造出了我国第一套大型焦炉炉门。这种
