辽河坳陷第三纪火山岩喷发造成了较高地温异常，使部分烃源岩早熟，提供油源；火山岩原生和次生孔隙使其可成为储集层，在一定条件下又可成为盖层。这使辽河坳陷存在多种与火山岩有关的油气藏。火山岩发育区可以形成有经济价值的油气藏，是该类地区油气资源评价中值得重视的问题。
Tertiary volcanic eruptions in the Liaohe depression caused higher temperature anomalies, causing some of the source rocks to become premature and provide oil. The primary and secondary pores of the volcanic rocks make them reservoirs that can become cap rocks under certain conditions. This causes a variety of volcanic-related reservoirs in the Liaohe Depression. Volcanic rock development zones can form oil and gas reservoirs with economic value, which is a problem worth attention in the evaluation of oil and gas resources in this area.
