The Second Annual Meeting of Guangdong Petroleum Institute was held in Shunde County from November 10 to November 14, 1981, with the help of China Petroleum Institute and Provincial Association for Science and Technology. This year’s annual meeting received 66 academic papers, from the number of papers and quality point of view, compared with the previous annual meeting has significantly improved. “Sino-US cooperation in the South China Sea geological survey of the first phase of progress and its main achievements” and “South China Sea Basin Central Basin heat flow value of the initial analysis of” two papers proposed the South China Sea formation and tectonic period of new information. In the meeting also saw the newly compiled “South China Sea Bouguer gravity anomaly and Moho depth map.” All this
