In recent months, the world’s attention has increasingly been devoted to Somalia in the Horn of Africa, with all countries paying particular attention to piracy in the Gulf of Aden. The Gulf of Aden, surrounded by Somalia and Yemen, is strategically located between the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, the throat of the sea from the Indian Ocean through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. There are two world-famous seaports on the west side of the Gulf of Aden, namely the Aden harbor on the north shore and the Djibouti harbor on the south coast. It is an important port of fuel and trade transit port for the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean and Atlantic routes. According to statistics, nearly 50,000 vessels of various countries pass each year from nearby waters and about 18,000 vessels pass through the Suez Canal, most of which pass through the Gulf of Aden. In addition to the warships of various countries, most of them are large and small freighters, including 13% of the Middle East oil, which makes this a strategic strategic waterway in Asia, Africa and Europe.
