献给“望子成才”的父母们

本刊曾于去年第三期刊载湖南师院李仲琏等同志研究超常儿童王昂智力发展情况的文章,《工人日报》、《北京晚报》、《湖南日报》、《长沙日报》也分别作了报道,引起了社会各界人士的普遍关注。许多“望子成才”的父母们和幼教、小教工作者纷纷写信给王昂的父亲、省高压送变电维修公司工人王国祥同志,要求他谈谈教子之方。为此,王国祥同志写了一封复信,井托本刊发表,以献给“望子成才”的父母们及广大幼教、小教工作者。当此四化建设时期,凡做父母的无不希望生一个聪明的孩子,培育成才,为国出力,这是一种十分可贵的责任感。但是,单凭拳拳挚爱之心或者良好的愿望,还不足以担负起这个责任来。因为,教育孩子成才是一门科学。一个孩子从呱呱坠地到长大成才,要经历一系列复杂的变化,无论是身体的发育,思想品德的形成,文化知识的增长,都有规律可循。父母作为孩子的“第一任教师”,惟有认识和把握这些规律,方能对孩子施以科学的教育。故此,就要象王国祥同志一样,学一点教育学和儿童心理学,并勇于实践,持之以恒,做到教而有方,教而得法,为孩子早日成才奠基。王昂的超常智力,主要来自后天的教育培养,他一出生即开始接受早期教育,三岁多入学,现在即将读完小学三年级。在校期间他几次被评为“三好”学生,没有生过病,每期各科成绩均在90分以上。在感知觉观察力实验中,王昂的反应速度和进行方式都优于比他大2至3岁的儿童,这就充分显示了良好的早期家庭教育和学校教育的重要作用。 Articles published in the third issue of last year, Hunan Normal University, Li Zhonglian and other comrades to study the extraordinary development of intellectual Wang children intelligence articles, “Worker's Daily”, “Beijing Evening News”, “Hunan Daily”, “Changsha Daily” were also reported , Has aroused the widespread concern of people from all walks of life.
