种源选择对营林工作的重要意义是十分明显的,因为它不用很复杂的林木改良手段,就能在短期内大幅度地提高森林生产力。因而各国林学家一致认为,仅仅由于简单地识别和利用正确的种源就能得到表明树木改良卓有成效的是大遗传增益。
The significance of provenance selection for silviculture is evident because it can significantly increase forest productivity in the short term without resorting to complex forest improvements. Thus, forestologists from all walks of life agreed that large genetic gain can be obtained only by simply identifying and using the correct provenance, which shows that the tree improvement is fruitful.
