湖州市城区凭借其得天独厚的地域优势、丰富的自然资源、较高的人口素质和良好的教育基础,在改革开放的十多年中,取得了经济建设和社会发展的辉煌成果。今天的经济效益得益于昨天的教育,今天的教育是明天的经济效益,这正在成为人们的共识。湖州城区区委吴子性书记指出:“一流的经济必须有一流的教育来支撑。”目前,城区领导正审时度势,以农村教育改革为主线,构建跨世纪的现代化教育工程,全区上下形成了“科教兴区”的喜人氛围。面临世纪之交,作为一名农村教育综合改革的实践者,应该把“科教兴区”的战略视野放在21世纪,明确建设教育强区的新目标,
Huzhou Urban Area, with its unique geographical advantages, abundant natural resources, high population quality and good education foundation, has achieved splendid achievements in economic construction and social development during the reform and opening up for over 10 years. Today’s economic benefits are due to yesterday’s education. Today’s education is tomorrow’s economic benefits. This is becoming the consensus of people. Wuzhong District Party Committee Secretary Huzhong pointed out: “First-class economy must have first-class education to support.” At present, the city leaders are examining the situation, the rural education reform as the main line, the construction of cross-century modernization education project, the whole region formed “Science and Education Hing District” gratifying atmosphere. At the turn of the century, as a practitioner of the comprehensive reform in rural education, we should place the strategic vision of “revitalizing education through science and education” in the 21st century and clearly define the new goal of building a strong education zone.
