The role of water is far more important than people think. 85% of the blood, 75% of the brain, and 70% of the muscle are water. Water scarcity weakens attention, coordination and responsiveness, weakens endurance and compromises the body’s resistance to disease. It can also thicken blood, slow down and weaken the ability of blood to deliver oxygen and other substances and eliminate waste. The average person gets 3.5 glasses of water per day from food and half a cup of metabolized by-product. But the loss of water was 10 cups, of which 6 cups were excreted, 2 cups evaporated through the breath, 2 cups consumed in daily activities (excluding exercise). Obviously, everyone should drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. People who exercise because they sweat more, need to drink more water.
