江西省文化局举办全省第二届戏曲观摩会演,参加的是各县市专业剧团。这次会演中,現代剧目占多数。絕大多数的剧本,是剧团自己创作的。解放以来,江西群众創作的剧本也不少,但是一般的只有农村业余剧团演出;专业剧团、特別是省市剧团,很少上演。它們对剧本的要求比較高,对群众創作重視不够。群众創作得不到专业剧团排演与修改的机会,質量当然不容易很快提高。江西专业的剧作家很少,过去好作品不多。这样,許多剧团就时常闹剧本荒。自己省里沒有适用的剧本,只好到外省去“借东風”。所以几年来江西专业剧团上演的,多是从外省移植来的剧目。这次举行全省戏曲观摩会演前,党、政領导上一再号召,要以現代剧为綱,同
