国家语言文字工作委员会和新闻出版署修订的《标点符号用法》已经正式发布,从事宣传工作的同志无疑都很关心这件事。原《标点符号用法》是1951年9月由中央人民政府出版总署制订公布的,同年10月政务院发出《关于学习标点符号用法的指示》,指出标点符号使用上的混乱“往往有害文意正确的表达”。其原因:“一是缺乏标点符号用法的统一规定;二是处理文件稿件人员,未曾注意学习此项用法。”从此,各界普遍重视标点符号的学习,收到很好的成效。《标点符号用法》公布已将近四十年,其内容己不能完全适应今天的需要,这主要表现在:当时文字的书写排印以直行为主,标点符号用法的规定是依据直行文字来
