我厂八车间机器制造任务很重,往往由于设备不足而造成了生产上的关键问题。为了不做“伸手派”,车间工人坚决表示要走自力更生的道路,在制造上采用“小土群”的方法。镗工唐清泉、陈代元大动脑筋,破除迷信,利用废旧料苦战一周,制造出一台简易镗床。这台镗床主要利用一台报废的6尺车床,再加上一些废旧另件拼凑起来的,所以在制造上很容易。它的传动系统很简单,由电动机18借皮带17传动塔轮14,再通过二对伞齿轮13及16,使主轴9旋转。床头和工作台都是手动,摇动手轮11,通过升降丝杆12,便能使床头10上下移动。摇动手轮4,通过齿轮齿条3的关系,使工作台7左右移动。摇动摇手柄6,通过丝杠的关系使工作台7前后移动。变更主轴轮转,只要拉动拉键手柄15来移动拉键的不同位置,就能得到。
