秧田套栽杂交稻是江苏省稻区耕作栽培的一项创新。自1977年试验成功以来,四年累计示范推广123万多亩。1981年获全国农业科技推广一等奖,并经农业部列为农业科学技术重点示范推广项目。秧套稻能充分利用光能资源,改善秧田小气候,合理组成生态体系,秧沟适当早栽,发挥边际优势,争得季节主动,是实行稻中育苗、解决秧田迟栽低产的一条新途径。正常年份是增产手段,低温年景是抗灾稳产措施。
