把培养阅读能力作为理工科大学的主要目的,已经写进理工科《大学英语教学大纲》,并且为愈来愈多的人所接受.学生阅读能力的培养所以重要,主要原因是:现有的大学生尽管在中学已学过五、六年英语,但多数学生不能理解所读材料的内容,阅读速度更是慢得惊人,不能适应瞬息万变的“信息时代”的要求,为了适应这一形势,今日的大学生必须在快速、有效地阅读能力上花气力。培养学生的阅读能力,是时代的要求,需要教学的各个环节共同努力来完成.我在教学实践中做了一些尝试,体会如下,
