Qianjiang is located in the southeastern part of Sichuan Province and is located in the heart belt of the Wuling Mountain with the junction of Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and Guizhou Provinces. It belongs to the old, the less prosperous and the minority autonomous counties. Due to traffic difficulties, information blockage, economic and cultural backwardness, Qianjiang was listed as one of the 258 impoverished counties.
