从档案学前辈关于档案全宗理论的不同时期的思想概括出档案全宗有三个等同物:一是档案全宗等同于法人单位档案;二档案全宗等同于档案有机整体;三档案全宗等同于客体全宗。只有综合地理解这三个等同物方能准确地把握全宗的实质。在实践中若不能综合全面地理解档案全宗理论就会感到莫衷一是,不知如何做起,甚或犯下错误。档案全宗理论在今天的档案实体管理和网络档案信息资源的组织等方面仍然具有方法论的意义,指导着档案信息资源的整合工作。
