Postcolonial feminism combines feminism with postcolonialism, revealing the discrimination and restraint of women in the third world by the white hegemony culture and the traditional patriarchal culture. Interpreting Hua Hua Five from the perspective of postcolonial feminism can better highlight the arduous process in which the heroine Huang Yu-xue restructures himself in the predicament of being double-marginalized.
