德云社相声演员,5岁习武,9岁学戏,25岁登台说相声。侯鹤廉的从艺之路走得很曲折,但毕竟艺不压身,十多年的唱功武功成就了如今德云社舞台上发挥自如的他。侯鹤廉说,说相声和唱京剧不一样的是,京剧更多是一种程式化的表演,演员穿戴好行头就沉浸在人物里,而且一出戏要准备相当长时间;而相声不是程式化演出,站在那里就靠说话把观众吸引住还要把他们逗乐,这是侯鹤廉此前从来没有过的体验。
