我厂反射爐是使用烟煤作燃料的,每吨烟煤大約有1/4煤末。由于反射爐都是用鼓風机来鼓風,干燥的煤末加进去,很容易被吹入加热室,和坯料上脫落下来的氧化皮粘結在一起,使爐床加高;甚至流入烟道,堵塞通路,使爐子燃燒不正常。同时一般煤末不太純,容易結渣糊在爐条上,影响通風。因此在过去,煤末都被丢掉不用。經过我們車間技术員和老师父研究,找出了反射爐使用煤末做燃料的方法。这种方法就是:点火时先燒煤塊,使爐条上面保持有一定的煤層。然后把煤末加水(如果煤末中有土时,要先用細篩把它篩去),弄成一团一团的放在火室口烘干,使它变成蜂窩狀。这时用火钩將煤末加入到火膛的煤層上,同时再將加水的煤末放入火室口烘干。煤末加入到煤層上以后,便很快地燃燒起来,并没有大量黑烟产生,使用效果很好,在节約燃料方面起了很大作用。

Coal added to the coal seam after it quickly burned, and not a large number of black smoke, the use of good results in saving fuel played a significant role.
