延边大学地处素有“教育之乡”美誉的吉林省延边朝鲜族自治州之首府延吉市,是一所具有鲜明民族特色的综合性大学。自建校以来,延边大学始终坚持贯彻党的教育方针和民族政策,形成了“艰苦奋斗、开拓进取,传承文化、突出特色,民族团结、共教共学,广泛交流、多边合作”的优良传统。各族学生在这里和睦相处,团结奋进,成长为国家栋梁之才。1999年,学校被国务院评为“民族团结进步模范单位”。在这荣誉的背后,凝聚着延边大学关心下一代工作委员会(下简称“校关工委”)对关心下一代工作的忠诚、对民族团结工作的奉献。
