Toni Morrison is an outstanding representative of African American writers and is the first African American to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. As a black female writer, she has many outstanding books, such as “The Bluest Eye” and “Song of Solomon.” Particularly worth mentioning is that her fifth novel, “Beloved”, was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Novels, considered by scholars and critics as her best work. This article explores and analyzes the ancestral cultures in Toni Morrison’s novel Beloved, emphasizing Toni Morrison’s idea of rooting ancestral cultures and finding the way out for them.
