The effect of different mineral fibers on the release of H 2 O 2 from polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNLs) was investigated in the presence of exogenous Fe 3+ to determine whether certain mineral fibers could act as donors and catalyze the dissociation of H 2 O 2 to form OH. Experimental use of natural mineral fiber Wen Shi
