创造,就是在前人的基础上,提出新的方法,建立新的理论,做出新的成绩。一般地说,能较好地继承前代的文明成果已确属不易,而要创造出别人从未做出的或虽做却未获成功的业绩,那种异乎寻常的艰难困苦便可想而知了。我渴望创造,呼唤创造,尝试着在课堂教学中有所创造。我用美国作家海明威的话激励我的学生“他应该永远尝试去做那些从来没有人做过或者他人没有做成的事。”我还告诉学生们,缺乏创造,人们就只能墨守成规,裹足不前,甘于无为;具备创造,人们便勇于开创,大胆探索,敢于超前发展。我对有独立见解的学生——哪怕是其见解极为可笑、很幼稚或微不足道都予以充分的肯定和支持,因为这在创造精神普遍不足的今天显得尤为可贵了。
