在贯彻法定计量单位时,会碰到“质量”、“重量”这两个词的使用问题。尽管人们对这两个词很熟悉,但长期以来,由于种种的原因一直没有能严格地区分,故在实际使用中经常出现模棱两可和混淆不清的现象。这种现象不单在我国存在,在国际上也有类似的情况。因此,在贯彻法定计量单位时,应逐步澄清,才能比较顺利的解决历史上遗留下来的这一问题。重量一词在国际上也有不同程度的混乱,国际上对此也很重视,但是直到目前为止,对这一问题还没有找出一个妥善的解决办法。
