MEPC指定以下新的特别敏感海域（PSSA）：＊扩大现存大堡礁（the existing Great Barrier Reef）PSSA范围，包括了托雷斯海峡（the Torres Strait）；＊加那利群岛（Canary Island）；＊加拉帕哥斯群岛（Galapagos Archipelago）；＊波罗的海海域（the Baltic Seaarea）。
