1990年5月7曰平顶山矿务局召开祝捷大会,隆重庆祝四矿5月6日胜利实现安全生产1000天,产原煤近500万吨的新记录。这是四矿坚持安全第一方针,全面贯彻执行上级安全文件、指令、坚持质量为本、安全为天、深入开展质量标准化、安全创水平活动,坚持不懈抓好安全生产的结果。这一成绩标志着四矿的安全管理已跨入了全省、全国先进行列。 安全工作同生产建设和思想政治工作以及现代化建设、质量标准化、企业升级等是一个相辅相成的辩证统一关系,是可以相互促进、共同发展的。四矿是平局历年来超产较多的矿井之一;是平局第一批晋升为煤炭行业二级企业的矿井;是平局第二个现代化矿井,1987年以来一直保持质量特级矿井。他们首先把安全作为突破口和主攻方向。如果这几年四矿在安全上没有这样突出的成绩,生产、现代化矿井、质量标准化、二级企业等成绩都将不复存在。 四矿的实践是对安全工作中“唯条件论”的否定。事实证明,依靠职工的主观努力,依靠科技进步,条件是可以改变的。四矿由原设计60万吨增长到180万吨,1989年全员工效达到3.003吨/工,采煤机械化程度达100％,工作面单产达46658吨/月,安全生产百万吨死亡率为零。四矿1989年被评为河南省先进单位;1990年4月又通过了煤炭工业一级企业资格认定。

The total output of the four mines increased from 600,000 tons to 1.8 million tons. In 1989, the full-time work efficiency reached 3.003 tons / worker, coal mining mechanization reached 100%, the working face yield reached 46658 tons / month, and the safe production million tons dead rate was zero. Four mines in 1989 was rated as advanced unit in Henan Province; April 1990 passed the first-class enterprises in the coal industry qualification.
