Last year, TSMC was the world’s largest pure MEMS device foundry, operating income surge of 201%, not only captured the market share of competitors, but also created a new source of revenue. According to IHS iSuppli’s MEMS competition analysis report, TSMC revenue in 2011 reached 53 million US dollars, much higher than in 2010 of 17.6 million US dollars.
